Call for
Contributions (pdf-file, rightclick and select Save Target/Link As...) Aim: A workshop for those involved with participatory plant breeding and seed production for organic agriculture dealing with diverse crops (not merely cereals). The aim is to discuss examples of participatory plant breeding, and seed saving activities in the field of organic agriculture in developed countries. Participatory plant breeding is a recognized tool in developing countries to breed for small farmers. What can we learn from such models for the organic sector? What are the opportunities and limitations? There will be oral presentations, a poster session and a field excursion. Programme:
Place and accommodation: In pleasant surroundings in the middle of the country side at La Besse
(www.camping-labesse.com),
south west of Carcassone. Time: Opening: June 11 at 19.30. The ECO-PB program ends after the excursion on Tuesday 13, 2006 at approx 13.00 o' clock. Deadline for registration: Registration will be possible at this site in the beginning of February 2006. Deadline for registration: May 1st. The number of participants will be limited to about 60. Deadline for submission of Abstracts for oral and poster presentations: March 1, 2006. Abstracts of max. 300 wrds. Deadline for full paper for proceedings (4-6 pages): June 1, 2006.
