Exchange of Scientists Activities in COST860

Notice: Due to good funding in 2006 the management committee has decided to cancel the deadline for submission of applications for visits in 2006, i.e. applications will be considered continuously. Further, the maximum grant will be depending on the length of the visit (up to 3 months and 2500 EUR, for more information contact Maria Finckh, see 2) below).

The purpose of Short Term Scientific Missions is to enhance the understanding among scientists from different countries and support the aims of SUSVAR. For this, short trips from 1 week to 3 month duration are supported during which methods can be transferred. For example, if experiments in the field or laboratory are to be compared and evaluated jointly, the assessments, measurements and statistical analyses can be standardised by arranging for a short exchange of the scientists involved (single scientists or also training courses). Only participants in SUSVAR can be reimbursed for such an exchange as well as act as host.
